What a great site! The Hero Factory lets you produce your own superheroes. Simply design your super hero and download as a JPEG or print the image.

This would be great to inspire creative writing – students could make a character and then write about him/her. Or you might like to create Captain Maths who you use in your IWB slides to give the students maths problems.

This is a great tool for supporting class writing activities, how many times have your students spent a disproportionate amount of time ‘designing’ their newspapers, without spending time on planning, researching and finally writing their newspapers. 

 The newspaper generator lets you put your own text into a few boxes, and then generates an authentic looking newspaper article containing your text. The finished product is very authentic, and quite impressive.

I’ve been waiting for this for some time, and the bods at Smarttech have finally done it! With the release of ‘Notebook Interactive Viewer’ you can now share the content and lessons you create with your Notebook software.

The viewer will allow you to exchange files with individuals who don’t have the full version of Notebook. This is great for students, now they can access learning resources used in lessons from home without the need for the full version of Notebook which is quite a weighty download.

You can also view your Notebook created content on a any brand of interactive whiteboard.

There is an open license so it can be installed on every computer in a school and on student home computers.
